Instructions

1- Prepare Your Equipment:

• Begin by collecting your tools.
• You'll need a French press, a scale, a kettle, and a coffee grinder.

2- Grind Your Beans:

• Use your manual grinder to grind 60 grams of coffee beans to a coarse consistency.
• The grind size should be similar to breadcrumbs.

3- Heat the Water:

• Boil 900 ml of filtered water using the kettle.
• Ensure it reaches a temperature of approximately 93°C (200°F).

4- Combine Water and Coffee:

• Place the ground coffee into the French press.
• Pour about 200 ml of the hot water over the coffee grounds to allow them to bloom.
• Stir gently with a spoon to ensure all grounds are evenly saturated.

5- Let it Steep:

• Pour the remaining hot water into the press.
• Position the lid/plunger to retain heat.
• Allow the coffee to steep for about 4 minutes.

6- Break the Crust and Stir:

• After the steeping period, use a spoon to gently break the crust formed by the coffee grounds at the top.
• Stir once more to incorporate and prepare for pressing.

7- Plunge and Serve:

• Slowly press the plunger down, taking care to avoid applying too much pressure.
• Pour immediately into mugs to prevent over-extraction and enjoy.
