ā Double shot of freshly brewed espresso recommended using a pour-over from Flair Espresso 58
š 1 lime wedge
Instructions
1- Prepare Quick Blueberry Syrup:
- In a standard clear glass, combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries and 1 cup of simple syrup.
- Use a black muddler with a textured head to crush the blueberries, releasing their juice into the syrup.
- Briefly stir the mixture using a silver bar spoon with a twisted handle.
- Place a white plastic funnel with a removable metal mesh strainer over a clean, clear ribbed glass bottle with a pour spout.
- Pour the blueberry mixture through the strainer to separate the liquid from the pulp.
2- Prepare Espresso:
- Using a Flair Espresso 58, grind coffee beans and dose them into the portafilter.
- Evenly distribute the coffee using a WDT tool, tamp it firmly with a black-handled tamper, and brew directly into a clear espresso measuring glass.
3- Assemble the Drink:
- Pour 2 ounces of the homemade blueberry syrup into a clear, can-shaped serving glass.
- Fill the glass generously with ice cubes, using a stainless steel ice scoop.
- Carefully add 4-6 ounces of Great Gentleman Tonic Water into the glass. Use a silver bar spoon to guide the pour and create a layered effect.
4- Add Espresso and Mix:
- Gently pour the freshly brewed double espresso shot over the tonic water and ice, again using a bar spoon to maintain the layers.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a bar spoon until well combined.
5- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with a fresh lime wedge for a touch of citrus.
