1- Select Your Dose:

- For this guide, we're using a triple basket with a 20g dose
2- Prep Portafilter:
- Ensure your portafilter basket is dry and clean
- Place it on a digital scale such as the Acaia Lunar
- Tare to zero
3- Grind Beans:
- Use the Eureka Oro Mignon XL Espresso Grinder to grind 20g of fresh coffee beans to a fine consistency
- Grind directly into the portafilter
4- Weigh and Confirm Dose:
- Place the portafilter back on the scale to ensure the dose is correct
- Adjust if necessary
5- Distribute Grounds:
- Gently tap the sides of the portafilter to evenly distribute the grounds
- Ensure a level surface without cracks
6- Tamp Evenly:
- Using a tamper, press down with consistent, gentle pressure
- Ensure the coffee bed is level and compact
7- Prepare Espresso Machine:
- Ensure the LUCCA M58 Espresso Machine is fully warmed
- Run water through the group head to heat and cleanse it
8- Insert Portafilter:
- Secure the portafilter into the machine's group head with a snug fit
- Avoid over-tightening
9- Begin Extraction:
- Place your espresso cup/shot glass and scale on the drip tray
- Engage the machine's pump to start extracting your espresso while timing the shot
10- Monitor and Stop:
- Watch for a yield of 30g on the scale, adhering to the 1:1.5 ratio
- The total extraction time should ideally be between 25-30 seconds
- Stop the shot once you reach your yield
