Instructions

1- Grind the Coffee:

• Use the Compak E10 Espresso Grinder to grind your VERVE coffee beans to a fine consistency.
• This fine grind is crucial for a well-extracted espresso with rich crema.

2- Prepare the Portafilter:

• Fill the portafilter with the freshly ground coffee.
• Use a metal tamper to press down the coffee firmly and evenly.

3- Pull the Espresso Shot:

• Attach the portafilter to the Profitec Pro 800 Lever Espresso Machine.
• Place your favorite small glass, such as the notNeutral Vero Cortado Glass, on the Acaia Lunar Scale to monitor the espresso output.
• Start the machine and watch as the first drops of espresso emerge, capped by that iconic golden-brown crema.

4- Monitor and Adjust:

• During the extraction, you might see "tiger striping," indicative of a good balance and distribution of coffee and water.

5- Experiment with Pour-Over (Optional):

• Use the Fellow Stagg EKG electric kettle to pour water gently over the ground coffee in the dripper.
• Watch for the blooming effect as the CO2 is released.
