- Optional paper filter for the Toddy

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Coffee:
- Begin by grinding 400 grams of your chosen coffee beans to a coarse consistency, between the texture of filter and plunger grind.
2. Set up the Toddy Brewer:
- Wet the Toddy's reusable filter and fit it into the groove at the bottom of the brewing container.
- Insert the plug at the bottom of the Toddy to prevent leakage.
- If utilizing the optional paper filter, place it inside the Toddy brewer for better extraction and easier cleanup.
3. Brew the Coffee:
- Pour two liters of filtered water over the ground coffee, ensuring that the grounds are evenly saturated.
- If using the paper filter, gently stir the mixture to eliminate any dry spots. Skip stirring if you're not using the paper filter to avoid clogging.
- Cover the brewer and let it sit at room temperature to infuse for 20 to 24 hours.
4. Draining the Concentrate:
- After the infusion time, remove the plug and place the Toddy over the decanter to drain.
- Allow the coffee to filter through entirely and then seal the decanter with an airtight lid.
5. Storing:
- Store your cold brew concentrate in the fridge for up to 14 days.
6. Serving the Cold Brew:
- For a straightforward black cold brew, mix one part concentrate with one to two parts cold water over ice in a chilled glass.
- For a milk-based cold brew, replace the water with milk or a milk substitute at a ratio of one part concentrate to two parts milk.
