Hey Hivers! It’s me again, Jera back again with another blog. I’m super excited to share a little snippet of my life. Are you ready?

Not long ago, my sister and I decided to visit a newly opened cozy and aesthetic coffee shop located in Looc, Danao City, Cebu. Mimi’s cafe is situated near the national road, so it is expected that you can hear the usual rush of the cars’ noise, the bustle and busy road. But when we stepped inside, I was wrong. I felt like I had travelled into a different dimension. The cozy and relaxing coffee shop surprised us with its warm ambiance. We were also greeted by the big smiles and warm welcome from their staff. Soft, and gentle music created a more sophisticated vibe to the whole place.
As we arrived, we were guided by their staff to the other side of the coffee shop, which made me even more amazed. A garden in the middle of the busy city, can you imagine that? Hands down to the owner for doing a very fantastic job in creating and transforming the space into a little paradise. Potted plants adorned in every corner, which adds a very vibrant aura to the place.

We decided to sit in the middle part of the coffee shop where sunlight streamed in, highlighting the different potted plants in the background. Of course, we didn’t miss the chance to take some Instagram-worthy pictures. My sister and I scanned the menu, and oh boy, It’s a treat! They offered variety of coffee flavor, sandwiches, donuts and baked goods that made our mouth water. My sister and I decided to have strawberry milk, their classic ham and cheese sandwich, and barbecue-flavored fries.

While waiting for our drinks, we just enjoyed the surroundings. And oh, before I forget, the place is also pet-friendly. So, for pet lovers, you might consider this place. Despite from the fact that the coffee shop is located near the highway, this little hideout felt peaceful, calm and inviting.

Now, let’s talk about their food. OMG! My sister and I ordered strawberry milk, right? Honestly, it looked too good to resist. With just one sip, it felt like summer on my taste buds. It was creamy and sweet, filled with fresh strawberry flavor that made me smile. This drink had a way that instantly brighten up my mood!

We also enjoyed their classic ham and cheese sandwich. It was simple but trust me it’s super delicious. I must say that the bread was perfectly toasted, giving it a very satisfying crunch on the outside while staying soft and fluffy on the inside. A very perfect match for our drinks!

A couple of minutes passed; the barbecue fries came. WOW! My favorite. These were not just simple and ordinary fries. Why? It’s because they were so crispy and golden, sprinkled with a tangy barbecue seasoning that made every bite incredibly addictive. We even found ourselves fighting over the few bites of the fries (LOL)

Oh, and here’s the thing, they served quality and tasty food in an affordable and budget-friendly price. Perfect for students like us. Isn’t it amazing? Affordable but they will not disappoint you (trust me)

We sipped our drinks, enjoyed and savored our snacks while chatting about everything from our week to our future plan. We also had some rants about how tiring and stressful our college life. It felt good to reconnect over that cozy little table.

While leaving the coffee shop, I felt a bittersweet feeling, but then I realized we had found something special. This little coffee shop providing a naturalistic vibe and comfort to their customers is a paradise amid the busy highway. I’m super happy that we found a very comforting, and peaceful place in our little spot ate Mimi Cafe! It’s like a reminder for me that sometimes, all I need is just a good coffee, savory food, and a good someone you wanted to create some memories.
